I'm a bit confused as to which census you have given the ages for. Could this be the family in 1861?

Sorry Darcy. not thinking straight, i have a chest infection so should be in bed, but cant pull myself away from the net, keen to find this family. i am doing to much at once, which i always do. I get to excited.........

sorry about the address which I neglected to add. 
It's 3 Chapel Yard. I had a look for Sarah's death but there is more than one possibility between 1851 and 1861.
I'll see if I can find Robert in 1871.

Hi there
With you giving me the 1871 census and the name robert CATLEY , i looked for him in 1881 with charles sisters names and came up with EMMA catley b in leyland, with son robert and dau adline. 3709/ 52/ 49 no husband,
so thats great isnt it???

Thanks so much for all your help, i have filled a few holes with the WHITE, so thats great.. back to the WALMSLEYS now.
Dont you hate it when you get, say a richard and he marries a Mary, just about the same year , same church there is about two or three of them.... and you dont know her maiden name. hate that.
I think i have gone over and over ever site to see what info i can find , from parish to IGI to BDM,, not much luck... and it seems the walsh parish records arent that great from what i read on the site>>>>
never mind, off to bed... had a success researching weekend..

We have just been done to Akaroa, its about 1 1/2 hr from Christchurch, truely beauiful place.. well worth a visit,, its a little french town of about 700 people, lots of history..
