Can anyone help please looking for Charlotte Profser .

Charlotte was married in Leominster in 1852 to Henry Powell, her fathers name is recorded as David  a farmer.

Could someone do a look up for me 1851.

Any idea of her date of birth ?

I can find a Charlotte Prosser aged 24 and a David Prosser aged 55 both at Hay on Wye, but none I can see in Elominster.

She married at Leominster Priory, do you think it was Henry place of residence not hers ?

There is a Henry Powell in South Street in Leomisnter on the 1851 census but he is aged 19.

Any more clues ?

I have the marriage certificate its says parish church Leominster.
Henry Powell lived in Selley Shrophire, and later begulidy which was his birth place.
I am quite confused the marriage certificate says Profser although it could just be the writing, I crossed checked the marriage date May 29th 1852 on the  marriage indexes and it came up Prosser ?

The only other clue I have is again the marriage certificate witness names being Elizabeth Prosser/Profser and Walter Prosser /Profser.

Charlotte on census comes up birth place Shropshire NK or Begulidy Radnorshire

That fits with her being 50 on the 1881 census.

Henry Powell is 30 years older than her, was he a widower when they married, or was he just ensuring the farm had a son to inherit it  Wink ?

So what is the Leominster connection ?

Yes Henrywas about 30 years older than Charlotte and a widower his first wife died 1851 and had produced 5 sons and a daughter
