any info on watford union workhouse in or around 1872 and the lodgeing house in court 8 in or around 1880 i am looking for this info to help me find out and understand more about my great grandad. he was born on the 2 oct 1872 and lived at the lodging house in 1891 aged 8, i would like to get to know what it would have been like for him in there and if he was still with his mum in the lodging house. his name was alfred william charles collins

I see that you have entitled your message COLLINS, but you are asking for information about Watford Union Workhouse and a lodging house.  Are you looking for an association between these places and someone named COLLINS?

If so, could you give us a bit more information about the person you are looking for please - forename and approximate birthdate for example.
