I think the above named is known as Tilly and later married O'Brien possible in England.

I am looking for her parents

Thomas Kearney born Dublin wife unproven poss Eliza

Children Mary Charlotte later married Richard Tutt
              Ada twin of Thomas

Hi,

To clarify your query, are you looking for Matilda Gray born in Antrim? About what year was she born and did she marry and what religion was she? This makes a difference as to where to search. Do you have a parish or townland name?

Same questions for Thomas Kearney. You may want to post this one in the Dublin board if you haven't already.

What I have so far is very little

Thomas Kearney born Dublin 1840/1 married Eliza Gordon born Dublin 1841/2.  They had 2 children born Ireland Elizabeth 1858/9 and Christopher born 1860/1. 

They moved to 14 Rose Street Greengate  Salford England.  While they were in Salford Mary C was born 1868 followed by Ada and Thomas twins 1871/2.

In 1881 they were living in Camberwell London with Ada Thomas Mary and Matilda G born 1874/75 Belfast.  I have no idea what happened to Elizabeth and Christopher.

I am trying to locate Thomas and Eliza's origins in Ireland.  Mary C ( Charlotte ) was my great grandmother.

Any help appreciated

Hi,

This is tricky as you can't search Dublin (or any Ireland) births before 1864 but you could search for Matilda G born Belfast 1874/75 in the birth indexes which are available in the GRO in Dublin or on film at your local family history centre.


In the Shaw's directory 1850 there are Thomas Kearney 's 37 Lower Leeson St a major and 1 Lower Abbey st at Vintner. This is is the time of Thomas's father though.

Try posting on the Dublin board.
