Hanes KAY
« on: Friday 01 October 04 19:47 BST (UK) »

I am desperately searching for information on the above.

I have a LDS christening reference for him 25 Sep 1864 Ault Hucknall,
Derbyshire. However I am unable to find Birth Cert. ref on FreeBMD.

In 1871 He is a Farm Boy aged 12yrs at Stony Houghton,Stainsby, Derbyshire.

Then nothing. He is not on any other census, nor can I find a Marriage/Death
cert.

Please could SKS with access to Derbyshire Marriage or Burial indexes have a
look and see if he can be found.Huh

Many Thanks...................................Cybrgran(Hunting for KAY's

Hanes is certainly a mystery, cybrgran.  There are two  Hanes Kay for the Jul quarter of 1858 one born in Blackburn (8e315) the other in Mansfield(7b49). Otherwise I couldn't find anything despite trying different spellings, surname only and first name only searches. Perhaps he became known by an alternative name or emigrated?  Angry Janan

Whoops!!!!!

What a Boobie I am??

Janan, I gave you his sisters christening date (I am also looking for her, Eleanor or Helenor christened 25 Sept 1864 Ault Hucknall) Any chance of finding her?

I think you may have given me the reference for Hanes Birth Cert. He was christened 1 Aug 1858 so the Mansfield one could be his?.Although what I cannot understand is that he was born in Derbyshire and i thought Mansfield was in Notts?? With such an unusual name I will send off for it anyway....................Blow the expense!!!

Many, many, many,thanks.......................Regards........Cybrgran

Many thanks again, but none of the children had middle names. I am just wondering whether he died before 1881 as the last census I found him on was with his family in Stony Houghton, Derbyshire, 1871. He was a Farm Boy aged 12 yrs, his elder sister died (RIP) of TB two years later(1873) so I am wondering if he suffered the same fate.
