These two pictures are of my husband Pete's Mother and Father
His mother died when he was 10 and his Father died when he was 4. I would love to be able to show him both of these in colour. The photo of them both is their Engagment photo from 1941
Both had Brown eyes and dark Brown hair

Hi Carole,
I do like to spot things I did not notice when I first looked at the photo - this one shows me that the gentleman had 2 shoes - and the lady a bangle and ring.

That is great Keith but I think the shoes may be wrong. I remember my Gran wearing something similar and they were holes rather than blocks of colour. Mind you when I zoom into the original it does look like blocks doesn't it?
Sorry maybe you are right in the first place.
The photo is great though and will be printedout this afternoon
