hello can any one help with a few pictures i would like  sharpering this one is of my gran when she was younger taken in the 1920's i think

Lightening the picture up through levels gave a  purplish  tinge in her hair. Fraid I haven't reached the relevant  chapter in photoshop elements for dummies yet, so can't solve that problem
