Hi Chris,
you have the following code:
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="Javascript" SRC="http ://counter.rootschat.net/counter.php?page=CHRISTOPHERROBIN"><!-- //--></SCRIPT>
try again, but with '.... page=VAUGHAN-FHG-KENT ....'
In Trystan's instructions, " .... page=YOURUSERNAME ..... " YOURUSERNAME refers to your webspace username, not your RootsChat username.
Good luck, Bob

Hi Chris,
this time I looked at your source code as well (right-click and 'view source code')
It looks like a Frontpage problem
you have: <p><SCRIPT LANGUAGE="Javascript" SRC="http://counter.rootschat.net/counter.php?page=VAUGHAN-FHG-KENT"><!--
//--></SCRIPT></p>
Frontpage seems to have changed all the special characters including the < and > of your tags to HMTL entities ( which means that < becomes < and > becomes >) so the browser doesn't recognise them as tags
Solution ?? Don't know for certain, but try this: After you have finished with Frontpage, open your code page in an editor, and add the web counter lines there. save the page and upload it to your site
If anybody else reading this has also used Frontpage for their site, they may be able to suggest a better solution.
Bob

Should I get rid of FrontPage !!!! I am not a big fan of Frontpage. I don't know what the newer versions are like, but Frontpage has/had the reputation of changing people's code, according to it's own ideas of what is right.
It also produces very bloated code.
But if you get on with it OK, then that's fine, carry on with what you know .
I've heard Dreamweaver is much better, but also much dearer. The cheapest solution is also the the most work-intensive: write everything in HTML using an ordinary text editor
You pays yer money, and takes yer choice !
Glad the counter is working now, Bob
