Hi,
Looking for a marriage of a David Steven to Jessie ??Could be Sutherland before 1881

Also the birth of a Alexander Sutherland abt.1868 mother Jessie ?? both Jessie and Alexander born Orkney
David I have as just Scotland abt.1853 his Occ. was Labourer.

I looked on www.cursiter.com (great for Orcadian BMDs), but couldn't find your Alexander. Did find this though in the Sutherland marriages — could it be his parents?
Alexander SUTHERLAND (M)..............  M: 9 Mar 1848                                                                           
  Spouse: Jessie SANDISON                  South Ronaldsay, Orkney, Scotland

Too many possibles to pick the birth of this Alexander, though I found this in the Sandison births:
 Jessie SANDISON (F)...................  B: Abt 1826                                                                             
  Spouse: Alexander SUTHERLAND            Orkney, Scotland
