Hi I am looking for marriage of Isaac Toft and Mary ? Isaac was born 1750 and Mary 1760. If there is an Isaac younger than this could you give details for him also as the 1750 Isaac seems old to be the father mentioned on the marriage certificate I have. Thanks

Hi Chris I am hoping that you can look up a marriage for me. I am looking for the marriage of Henry Brindley to Elizabeth Hall in the late 1700'sto early 1800's. Their child Henry is my great Grandfather and as I live in Australia it is difficult to research from here. Henry was born nr 1819 , this is the date on his military records so am not sure how accurate the date is. Any information would be gratefully received kind regards Phyllys Donald.
Hi Phyllys,
Sorry, I had missed your message.
Unfortunately I have checked the index and there is nothing listed on the Cheshire indexes I have.
Sorry I can't be of more help,
Jean

Hi Chris,
Could I please ask you to check for any further information on the following marriage of my ggggf? I'm hoping there will be a clue to his parentage in there:
Thomas Ford married Ann Norbury 14- 9-1826 Astbury By Banns
Thanks so much!

Hello Barbara,
The information on marriages that I use comes from indexes - I have checked and it confirms your information but doesn't give anything extra. Parents name weren't (normally) given prior to civil registration, but the witnesses might give you a clue. As you have the exact date I would email Cheshire Records Office and they may give you the information. Alternatively, go to their website - you can order a photocopy of the parish register entry for a small fee online.

Thanks for taking the time to check, it's very much appreciated.

Hi Jean,
Sorry, I have one more now!
Edward and Sarah Norbury in Cheshire somewhere! Probably Blakenhall, Wybunbury parish but I can't find it on the online site, and as I can't find a baptism for Sarah there, maybe they were married from wherever she was born?
Edward and Sarah's first child was 1796, so I'm assuming they were married about 1795?
Do estimated birth dates help in your search?
Thanks so much,
Barbara Bryan
