Hi Chris - I wonder if you might have a marriage record for a William Ellams (born c. 1768 died 1844) and Mary ? (born around 1785). The marriage likely took place in Mary's birthplace of Alvanley, but may have been at Frodsham (they lived and raised their children in Helsby). The marriage probably took place around 1807, but may have been a year or two earlier. (Of course, they may not have married officially at all.) William was a small farmer-agricultural labourer. Thanks a lot! Best regards, Anne. Hi Anne,
Wm ELLAMES, Farmer, Frodsham m Mary WEBSTER, sp otp 9 Jun 1806 Liverpool St Nicholas by licence
Best fit that I can see....

May I ask for another look up please....
George Massey to a Mary ? He was born in 1755 and died in 1786 at Knutsford. He isnt on Rostherns register. I would guess at 1779?
Thank you

Hi Chris, I was wondering if you could find a marriage for me for John Challinor b 1778 and Elizabeth Teasdale in Cheshire and also their son James who married Ann Sinker ? also Cheshire first child b 1853 they lived at Beeston and the marriages of their children were at Saint Boniface Bunbury. I live in Australia so it's hard to get to the Cheshire records office. These are my ggggrandparents. Thank you in anticipation, Chris Watters
Hi Chris,
John CHALINOR m Elizabeth TESDALE 16 Jul 1824 at Chester St Oswald
I assume that son James married after 1837 in which case you should find the marriage at www.cheshirebmd.org.uk if they married in Cheshire.

Massey
Hello there ---yes i sent a reply,
The combinations of Hamnet/Hamlet/ Massey and Mary is not uncommon, which date did they marry ? Is it 29 april 1798 ?
or 1821 , I know there are others but i havent documented them yet.

Hello Jean,
Thank you for the news on George Massey & Mary Pimlotte/Pimblott
I have stayed up half the night working on this!, George & Mary Pimblott had 3 children beofre he died in 1786 it seems.
Only one was a son - John Massey born Nether Knutsford 1782. The great uncle to George left his widow some money in 1791, but he didnt say how many of the children were alive at that point.
Could I beg you to look up any possible marriages for John Massey say about 1810? please in the Knutsford area.
Thank you for your efforts, it has been a great help in sorting some of this family. There are several in Knutsford who seem to have been shoemakers, and may be related in some way, its just finding the right connections. I am very wary of making the same mistake...

Hi Juno,
Nothing obvious for this, what was the date of the will and does it give her first name?

hello Jean
The will was that of John Peak, gent of Manchester late of Knutsford. dated 15 October 1791, to Mary Massey widow of my late nephew George Massey. It was a right off , for money borrowed.....
So I think you are right in that -it is Mary Pimlott.
