hi simplicity and welcome to Rootschat!
Can you be more specific with your request? On one index alone there are 15 pages of Stubbs marriages with 50+ per page and I can't filter on the church. If you have any particular marriages you would like me to look for I'd be happy to help.
Jean

Hello!
I'm looking for details of the marriage between Thomas CLARE (b. c1795 in Hale, Cheshire) and Mary ? (b.1784 in Bowden, Cheshire).
Their first (to my knowledge!) child, Peter CLARE, was born in 1813, so I would imagine that the marriage took place prior to this time.
They lived in the Mere area.
I don't know if this is enough for you to go on - I'm aware it's limited - but I'll keep my fingers crossed anyway.
Many thanks! Susie

Hi Susie,
The only one I can see is this:
Thos CLARE m Mary FODEN 7 May 1809 at Great Budworth or, possibly a second marriage: Thos CLARE wdwr m Mary FORSTER wdw 15 Mar 1837 Lymm by licence

Thanks so much for this Jean - really helpful! Will do some more cross-checking on this, but I may just be getting 2 Marys for the price of 1!

Hi,
I am trying to trace any details of a marriage between William Weatherby and Hannah (unknown) some time around 1800-1806
Here is how I got here:
IGI Batches J130732/K130732 has these children of William & Hannah, in Marton, Cheshire: ANN WEATHERBY Christening: 13 APR 1806 SALLY WEATHERBY Christening: 07 FEB 1808 JAMES WEATHERBY Christening: 04 FEB 1810 JOHN WEATHERBY Christening: 26 JUN 1814 PETER WEATHERBY Christening: 09 JUN 1816 JOSEPH WEATHERBY Christening: 03 MAY 1818 DANIEL WEATHERBY Christening: 26 MAR 1820 THOMAS WEATHERBY Christening: 13 JAN 1822 CHARLES WEATHERBY Christening: 27 FEB 1825 SUSANNA WEATHEBY Christening: 17 JUL 1827
and for some reason in Batch: C076951 for Withington, Cheshire: WILLIAM WEATHERBY Christening: 7 JUL 1812
CheshireBMD has deaths for William & Hannah as follows: William: 1863 Age: 79 Sub-District: Gawsworth Registers At: Cheshire East Reference: GAW/4/10 So his year of birth would be 1783/4
Hannah: 1847 Age: 63 Sub-District: Gawsworth Registers at: Cheshire East Reference: GAW/2/18 So her year of birth would be 1783/4 Hannah Weatherby's death is also on FreeBMD: Q1 1847 Macclesfield XIX 109
The only marriage I can find in the IGI is third hand at best as it is in batch 8732832 WILLIAM WEATHERBY Spouse: HANNAH DAVENPORT Marriage: 16 APR 1805 Prestbury, Cheshire, England
But a descendant of William (1812) in Australia has his mother's name from his death certificate as HANNAH CLIFTON
There is a Hannah Clifton in IGI Batch P001031 Christened 26 OCT 1787 Wybunbury, Cheshire, but that doesn't fit with her recorded age at time of death.
If Hannah was born 1783/4 I suppose it is possible that Hannah was married twice but I don't have any trace.
Any help identifying Hannah's maiden name greatly appreciated, Ian

Lots of Davies/Davis but none that seem to fit. Closest is William DAVIES m Elizabeth VERNON 13 Jan 1798 Audlem St James the Great.

Hi Ian,
I think that the marriage you have found on IGI is the best match, it also appears on my index:
Wm WEATHERBY, Husbandman, Lower Withington m Hannah DAVENPORT, Lower Withington 16 Apr 1805 at Prestbury
There is also this:
Susanna WEATHERBY, sp, Lower Withington m Peter DAVENPORT, cordwainer, of Marton 27 Nov 1815 at Prestbury
Just in case they are connected.... Jean

Jean,
Thanks so much for the look up, it's an independent confirmation of the IGI which helps. Thanks for Susanna too, it seems to be a family name so well worth investigating.
Much appreciation for the work, Ian

Hi Jean,
Could you possibly have a look for a marriage between a Thomas Mollard and Mary? I’m guessing it will be 1795-1805 and should be Wilmslow. I’m also trying to find the marriage of John Mollard at roughly the same time and same place. Thank you in advance, Regards, Pat.

Hi Jean,
Thank you once again. Beginning to think that John must have died at a young age, can't seem to find anything about him. The earlier John and Martha were Thomas's parents.
Regards, Pat.
