Hi Tippin,
You won't find the burials on my web site yet, I'm afraid, but here they are. I have them in my own extended family tree database, so can provide further info for you, which you may already have, of course.
James ARCHER bap. 6 May 1781 Church Gresley (son of James & Mary) bur. 24 Jun 1866 Church Gresley Amy/Amey ARCHER nee b. c. 1778 Longford DBY bur. 22 Nov 1870 Church Gresley
I'm not sure, because you don't give approximate birth dates, but I believe the other James must be the son of James & AMY (James ARCHER bap. 22 Aug 1824 Church Gresley). If so, then I have them in the 1851 and 1861 Census in Church Gresley as follows:
1851 Census: Church Gresley DBY Ref. 2011/450/13: James ARCHER Head M M 27 Labourer DBY Gresley Sarah ARCHER Wife M F 31 SHR Bronington Amey ARCHER Daur F 5 DBY Gresley James ARCHER Son M 2 DBY Gresley
1861 Census: 2 nr Gresley Wood, Church Gresley DBY Ref. RG9/1962/35/22/112: James Junr ARCHER head m m 36 Brickmaker DBY Ch Gresley Sarah ARCHER wife m f 42 Toll Gate Collector SAL Brimington Amy ARCHER dau u f 16 Servant DBY Ch Gresley James ARCHER son m 12 Employed at Brickyard DBY Ch Gresley Mary ARCHER dau f 9 Scholar DBY Ch Gresley George ARCHER son m 6 Scholar DBY Ch Gresley
However, there don't appear to be suitable burials for this couple in the Church Gresley registers, or in the cemetery registers. Are you sure of their dates and places of death?
Regards and best wishes,
Brett Payne Tauranga, New Zealand

I beg your pardon. Sarah ARCHER was buried at Church Gresley! The reason I couldn't find her first time through was because I thought that burial was for a completely different Sarah, wife of William. However, I've now followed the trail through and am happy that I have it right.
Sarah ARCHER bur. 4 Jun 1869 Church Gresley (Res. Church Gresley)
James ARCHER then remarried in the Dec Qtr of 1869 in Burton R.D. (I'm afraid I don't have the exact date or location) to a widow, Mary Ann(e) BROWN nee NEWTON. Her previous husband, one Joseph BROWN (1815-1866), a carpenter, had died at Church Gresley three years earlier.
By the time of the census just over a year later, the ARCHERs had moved to the nearby parish of Stapenhill, and Mary Ann's children by Joseph BROWN are interestingly shown as James ARCHER's children:
1871 Census: Stapenhill DBY Ref. RG10/2901/106/22/132: James ARCHER Head M M 46 Brick Maker DBY Ch Gresley Mary Ann ARCHER Wife M F 47 STS Burton on Trent Joseph ARCHER Son U M 20 Labourer at Brick Yd. DBY Ch Gresley George ARCHER Son U M 17 Sawyer's Apprentice DBY Ch Gresley Wm. ARCHER Son U M 15 Sawyer's Apprentice DBY Ch Gresley Maria ARCHER Dau F 10 Scholar DBY Ch Gresley Saml. ARCHER Son M 7 Scholar DBY Ch Gresley Jenney ARCHER Dau F 5 Scholar DBY Ch Gresley
The only one of those children which actually belongs to James was, as you probably know, George ARCHER.
Regards and best wishes, Brett

For your information, according to my records, this is what became of the children of James ARCHER (1824-) and Sarah WILLIAMS (c1819-1869):
- Amy ARCHER b. 1846 m: 1865 Ch Gresley George HAYWOOD => children [some info available] - James ARCHER (1849-1931) m: 1870 Ch Gresley Emma BROMLEY (1850-1915) => children [some info available] - Mary ARCHER b. 1851 (Servant in Wolstanton in 1871) =>  - Thomas ARCHER (1853-1854) - George ARCHER b. 1855 =>  - Mary Jane ARCHER (1858-1863)
If you have anything further, I'd be happy to exchange data.
Regards and best wishes, Brett

Yes all this info is correct. I do have more on the children. I know that Amy emergrated to Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, and I know that Mary was 'misteres' to Jonathan ?? (She is with him in 1871). They had two children, but I have lost the record, as you could proberbly tell due to the fact I carn't remeber Jonathan's surname.
I also know that Amy, Wife of James Snr, Snr, had the maiden name Berrisford, and that James and Amy married in 1802, proberbly at the Parish Church of Longford.
I expect that we still have alot more information that we could swap. I will send my e-mail address to you via the personal message system on this site.
I hope to hear from you soon, Stephen

Hi Brett,
My computer had a virus of some kind and I have unfortunatly lost all the information that you sent me. Is there any chance I could have the file about the Archer's sent to me again, and the information about the burial's of Sarah Ann Archer, and Timothy Harold Archer, (Wife/Son of Harold) that you found for me? Stephen
