Hi Fern I was in Portsmouth a few weeks ago trying to find a grave in Kingston cemetry and found a notice saying all enquiries about Kingston should be made at Milton Cemetry i don't know if that helps..good luck.

If you follow the link I gave it gives the email address for enquiries for all three cemeteries.

The records for Portsmouth cemeteries are held at Portsmouth City Record Office and can be accessed in the search room there. There are names indexes to Mile End Cemetery, Kingston and Milton.
Portsmouth City Museum and Records Office Museum Road Portsmouth Hampshire PO1 2LJ
They have an email address for the search room:
searchroom [at] portsmouthcc.gov.uk (replace the [at] with the appropriate symbol)
They may be able to help with a one-off enquiry.
Nell
Sorry Valda - typing at the same time!!

Hi Fern
Milton Cemetery also has an e-mail link on the page Valda gave, might be worth shooting the same mail to both
Let us know what you get, won't you
