Hello from Australia.
|
I am looking for information on a Duncan McIssac, beleived to have been born in approximately 1776 in Argyll, Scotland. I do not have his exact place of birth or baptism, but he married Kezia Whitehead on 2.3.1812 in Portsmouth, Hampshire, England. The only children I am aware of for this couple are Evalina, born circa 1822 in Devenport, Devon, England & Henry Duncan, baptised 18.12.1823 in Devenport. Evalina went on to marry John Charles Stewart Teague in 1843 and their life and family is is well documented.
Duncan's wife Kezia died and was buried in Stoke Damerel, Devon on 14.3.1831. Duncan married for a second time to Johanna Campbell on 12.7.1832 at East Stonehouse, Devon. In the 1851 census, Duncan & Johanna were living at 17 Portland Place, Morice Town. When Duncan died in approximately 1857, he left a will leaving all his property to wife Johanna. He had been a superannuated gunner in the Royal Navy based out of Devonport.
Any information anyone can provide on Duncan McIssac would be greatly appreciated.
