Morris/Hughes in Liscard
« on: Tuesday 27 January 04 18:15 UTC (UK) »

Seeking John Morris b. 13 OCT 1842 Denbighshire & his wife Elizabeth Hughes b. 1848 Denbighshire.  Daughters  ELIZABETH CONSTANCE b. 1884 Liscard &
HARRIETTE AGNES HUGHES MORRIS b. 1885 Liscard.
They lived on Rake Lane.  John was a stonemason, so probably travelled for work.  The family was Methodist.
Emigrated to Maine, US in 1887, so I can't pick them up on the 1891 census and I can't find them (as a couple) on the 1881.
Any help greatfully accepted.  Thanks   Joan

with regard to yr family in rake lane - i live not far from there.  the main cemetary for wallasey is on rake lane, so john, (being a stonemason), may have been employed making headstones - there is still a masons on rake lane.
there are still a few old buildings on rake lane so if you have an address for john and his family i'll be happy to see if their house still stands and take a photo for you
