Am researching the family of James Lambert a brick maker of Stotfold and his family. 1881 census gives them as resident at Kray Field Brick Kiln Cottages, Stotfold employing 13 men and the 1861 census gives them at Common, Stotfold. 1851 gives them at Green End, Stotfold.
Family members I have found so are are James b1810 Suffolk, wife 1 Mary, wife 2 Sarah Sheffield?, children James H., Aldred, Lucy. I am not familiar with the area at all and would like help pointing me in the right direction to gather information. Cannot find son James H. after 1851 but he is known to have emigrated to Australia some time between 1851 and 1861. Where is he likely to have left from? I have found mortgage papers online regarding James H. and Alfred.
