Sarah Ann SHAW Born in Brough

Sarah Ann Shaw born c. 1827 in Brough Westmorland is found on the 1851 census for Preston Lancashire where she is a shop keeper, unmarried.

In 1856 in Preston she married a George Parkinson, my late mother's grandfather.

Does anyone have her in their family tree for Westmorland please ?

Hi
The records for St Michael's at Brough are on the IGI for that period www.familysearch.org so you should be able to find her parents if she was baptised there.  I just tried to look for you but the site is down.   Brough was quite a busy market town in those days.
I shall be near there at the end of the month if you want any photos or anything.

Thanks Andrea for your message.  I feel sure I have already looked for her on the IGI but will give it another go when the site is up and running again.  Thanks for the offer of photographs but until I find more of her there is nothing I can ask for, but I'm grateful anyway.
