I would appreciate help in enhancing this photo of Duncan Ritchie, private 13706 of 6th/7th Bn. Royal Scots Fusiliers who died 31st July 1917 aged 21.
John came from Crossburn Cottages,Loans,Troon,Ayrshire.
Colouring attempt would be great.

Hello Skippy
I am sorry but I can't answer that. The photo I have is not coloured.I assume he would have worn the colours of his regiment.
There is a memorial at Menin Gate.

Hi Rex,

Thought I might as well finished it off as I had done the hard bit - still not sure of the exact colours - if you find out anything should be different it is easy to alter with layers!

Cheers

Keith

Thank you very much Skippy.Greatly appreciated by the Ritchie family here in Australia.
We have a dilemna in that we have found two records of Duncan Ritchie of Royal Scots Fusiliers which we assume must be the same person.
The Menin Gate memorial shows private 13706,6th &7th Btn. (site of Comm. War Graves Commission) but a Google search gives us Roll of Honour-Ayrshire-Troon,Lance Corporal 6725,1/5 Btn.R.S.F.

Can anyone please suggest how we can resolve.
