« on: Tuesday 05 October 04 14:15 BST (UK) »

Are there any records of the following being buried at Lanchester, please, and do the records give any mention of their residence at time of death?

Margaret Reed, d. July 1832
John Reed, d. Feb. 1834
Jane Reed d. June 1834
James Reed, d. Dec 1835
Thomasina Reed d. May 1846

Many thanks,

Hi JenB,

Lanchester Burials:
Margaret REED buried 7-7-1832, of Ivestone, aged 14yrs
John buried 4-2-1834, of Ivestone, aged 18yrs
Jane buried 27-6-1835, of Low Meadows, aged 75yrs
Thomasina buried 2-6-1846 of Ivestone, aged 23yrs

No James mentioned in 1835, I widened the search by   10yrs ie. 1825-1845 and the following REED burials were listed.

William bur 11-1-1836 of Low Meadows aged 84yrs
Ralph bur 5-2-1839 of Lanchester Union Workhouse 84yrs
Mary 14-6-1843 of East Butsfield 55yrs
John 19-12-1824 of East Butsfield 73yrs
Thomas 26-8-1825 of Lanchester 79yrs
John 26-9-1827 of Tunstall Bpw 72yrs

Still no James, is it possible that William buried Jan 1836 was William James REED or James William REED???

Cheers

That's a great help, very many thanks.

I don't believe James had any other Christian names, so for the moment will assume he is buried elsewhere.  I know he died 1835.

Thanks again
