Salutation Hotel: Need Staff Info

One of my relatives worked in the Salutation Hotel, Perth, and I was wondering if there were any records of past staff available. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I could be wrong, but I think it currently goes under the name of the Queen's Hotel.  I'm pretty sure it used to be owned by the railway so might be worth trying them to see if they keep old staff records?
Sorry I can't be any more specific - am relying on fast fading memory of family conversations!

Salutation Hotel still has the same name.  Write to the manager at South Street, Perth, Perthshire

Yes, can confirn that - Salutation Hotel is definitely still the Salutation.  I am doubtful if you will be able to get that info, but it's worth a try.

Not sure! I can't narrow it down more than 1895 - 1942 I'm afraid. Apparently an uncle of hers - a Mr Mowat? - owned it!

my gg g,uncle John Kennedy was Inn/HotelKeeper in 1851 and 1861 at Salutation- then moved to Royal George Perth until his death.
Wrong dates for your rellie.  Was the Mowat from Caithness?

Yes, if it were my rellies uncle then he would have been. Only problem is, she had 5 uncle Mowats, none of whom I have any family for.
