Hello Karen, Maybe there was no other baby its just rumours. I did find out last night that Arthur was a police constable and wondered if he maybe emigrated to become a mounty?? Mary had a very sad life in England. Her mother went into the workhouse father was blind she went into a home married arthur they went to canada about 1901 - baby died then her. What a wreched life - I just feel the more I find out the closer I become to her but its very sad. Thanks for all your help If you do come across anything else on your travels I would love to hear. Thanks again Jessy

Hey Jessy, Here's one for your maybe list, as J.J. likes to call it This Arthur Weatherby Boon could be connected to your Arthur Weatherby - I'm thinking cousins, maybe the son of an Aunt Weatherby who married a Boon? Look at the address! They are living on the same street as your Arthur and Mary.
Boon, Mary Alice Weatherby, b. Nov. 2, 1906, Father: Arthur Boon, Teamster, Mother: Mary Ellen Berf, infm: Arthur Weatherby Boon. 17 Euclid Av 009426-06 (Toronto) Vital Statistics: Province of Ontario 1869 - 1930

Wow, Denise and Karen have been busy...I'm just poking in for less than my 2 cents worth...
I imagine you have the BMD infomation now, that they were married nantwich registered in the March quarter 1901...http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl
Alice's birth is also listed...No sign of any other Weatherby child for nantwich, but then it's incomplete...Could try the new ancestry...but without a name, a guessing game..
Two Arthurs born Cheshire...but would have been aweful young...1883 & 1886...again it's incomplete...
But at least you can order the marriage cert and see if the parents names are hopefully listed!
Interesting find with the Boon name, Denise... Like Karen you're becoming quite the detective...

Have you ruled out the Arthur Weatherby who's 8 in the 1881 - born 1875 Somerford Booths Cheshire...He'd have been just 5 years older than Mary?

Hey thanks to all three of you!!! Yes I think he is the somerford booths Weatherby. And finding maybe his relatives could explain why they went out there. Especially living in the same street. Could one of you give me the birth details of baby Alice in Cheshire please I would like to order a birth cert. for my collection. In ignorance does infm. on census for relations mean information given by? Jessy

http://www.henriettesherbal.com/eclectic/thomas/brights-acu.html - looks like she died of Acute Nephritis, ('Nepritis' on death certificate, sic) which is more common in men than in women but one of the possible causes listed here is pregnancy, and it can also follow diptheria. I wonder if she became ill while pregnant with her second child, and miscarried late or the child was stillborn. That might explain why the second child isn't on the usual indexes.

Life must have been hard in those days. Euclid Avenue is still around now but I wonder if it was a poor rundown area then??? I think thats a valid point about the second baby being still born maybe. These are just rumours that have come down the generations to me but its marvelous that I am able to put the pieces in the puzzle thanks to your help. Jessy
