look up for 1871 census

Would  anyone be kind enough to do a look up for me  for 1871 census it is for a JAMES LANG aged about 7 and he was from a place called Sprowston, it would be most aprreciated.  Many Thanks Ken

Hi there,

You can search the 1871 census online at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk - in fact it has all the census info for Scotland online from 1851 to 1901.  It is a pay per view site - 30 credits cost £6.  It will cost you 1 credit to look at a page of search results and 5 credits to view an image of the actual record (except for 1881, which is a transcription, so only costs 1 credit it to view).

You can also find birth, marriage and death certs at the same site for the same costs.
