ALERT: AOL blocking ROOTSWEB emails

Just passing on a message posted on the Yorkshire list, which might affect a number of you, please pass this message on to anybody that you know on AOL - the easiest way is to use the "send topic" button at the top of this message:

Hi folks,It seems that AOL, in its infinite wisdom, has classed Rootsweb as a "bulkmailer" and is rejecting all Rootsweb mail.

If you know anyone who uses AOL, please pass this fact on. The only way toget AOL to stop rejecting Rootsweb mail is for its users to scream to themin order to start receiving their mail.  They are still subscribed to thelists.

The latest news from the RootsWeb Helpdesk

 ~Mail Lists:2004-01-28AOL is still blocking RootsWeb mail. We have contacted AOL and are workingwith them to resolve the problem. In the meantime, AOL users can read listmail through the archives at: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/

Please be patient until this problem is sorted out.

AOL blocking ROOTSWEB now resolved

We are delighted to read that the problems with AOL blocking ROOTSWEB emails has been resolved.

See: http://helpdesk.rootsweb.com/  "Mail Lists: 2004-01-30 AOL and RootsWeb's mail issues resolved"

During the downtime when the emails were blocked, it would be a good idea to check archives for any messages that were missed.

i have just joined and i am on aol doesnt appear to be a problem
