Page, Wood of Buxted

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone assist with a lookup of the 1841 and 1851 Census for WILLIAM PAGE and wife PHILADELPHIA WOOD who married in Buxted in 1810.  I am trying to pick up their deaths.  Thank you.     Marie in Sydney

You did not say what age you expect your William and Philadelphia to be in either 1841 or 1851.

1851 census for Buxted shows 5 William Page, but no Philadelphia - and as the eldest one of those 5 is only 44, I do not think any of them fit the bill.

If you can provide further info, will then look on the 1841 as well

Hi Chris,

William Page was born 1781 and Philadelphia (nee Wood), b.1782, married in 1810, all in Buxted.

Also, I don't suppose that THOMAS WOOD, b.1762 and SARAH WOOD (nee Skinner)b.1762 would be still around in the 1841 Census.

Been browsing through the 114 pages of the 1841 census for Buxted and found the following

HO107/  1116/ Schedule 24/ Page 12 - Poundgreen, Buxted, Sussex

WOOD Thomas, 80, Thatcher

Not spotted your page family though - will have a slower look through later today
