Newton Harrison Birth - Help!!!!
« on: Monday 27 March 06 01:52 UTC (UK) »

Hi All,

I hope someone can help me with this before I go mad!!

I cannot find my 4x Gt Grandfather Newton Harrison's birth anywhere and I have hunted both high and low!!

What I know about him is this:

He married Catherine Hudson in Throckmorton on 20th March 1794. Catherine was born in Eckington. He died on the 28th April 1820 in Bricklehampton aged 49. (Catherine died in Pershore Workhouse in 1853 aged 81, a pauper.)

This therefore means that Newton was born c1770 and possibly in Throckmorton as this wasn't the brides parish. So far nothing!! I have tried the IGI on the familysearch website and many other things to no avail!!

Can anybody help me find him? I would be most grateful as all I seem to turn up is blank after blank etc!

Also do Worcester Record Office hold any records pertaining to the above mentioned workhouse?

With many thanks in advance,

David
