Hiya Jan

I'm not sure but I think it is mainly just Ledbury.

Willow, I had lost track of this site so apologize for starting a post and not replying. The John Wargent and Elizabeth Bowkett that you have in your tree are my wifes family. The John Wargent is my wifes GGGGrandfather. Still have not been able to go back further than the William Wargent who married Martha Saunders on Oct. 21, 1751.

Regards, Frank

Hello all

I am new to the site and my great great grandmother was Elizabeth Wargent b 1837 in Yarkil. She married George Henry Russell. Please let me know if you have them listed in your tree. Her father is listed as Samuel Wargent.

Thanks, Lori

Hi Willow

It doesnt seem that Wargent is a very common name. Were your Wargents in the same area of Fritwell?

I think the William Wargent who married Martha Saunders was born in May 1728, eldest son of John Wargent of Hereford who married Ann Pool of Ledbury in 1727.
