1841 census name index for Hull and Sculcoates

A name index is available for the 1841 UK census of Hull and Sculcoates, arranged in alphabetical order, on compact disc. It covers pieces 1230 (1-13), 1231 (1-14) and 1232 (8-17) and gives forename, surname and reference, which consists of piece, section and folio number. There are a total of 57,755 people, of which unfortunately 3078 are partial names and 164 are unknowns, this is due to the poor handwriting on some of the schedules. Please note it does not include any age or occupation details. The files are presented in PDF format, You will require Adobe Acrobat Reader version 5.0 or higher. Months of hard work went into producing this disc. As with any transcription there will no doubt be some errors. Compatible with Windows XP, ME and 98.
