I will add this to my database.
These are the Gaunts in transition [some of them anyway] The family originates in Staffordshire circa 1550, then some of them migrate to Notts and Derbys. Some of the Notts lot move on to Yorkshire circa 1840.
A band of gypsies my lot.

I came across your inquiries re the Gaunt family, by chance I know of a gaunt family who were gamekeepers for the Walker family who were colliery owners, I have a will where a 'Gaunt' (William I think) was left a token in the Walkers will.
If this may be correct I will dig the will out, and let you know more, the Walker family came from Billborough, and later Eastwood.
