Looking for Charles SMYTH, artist and picture dealer, who was living in Dublin when his son Frederick left for England in 1881. I have found out that he may have come from Wexford, I also know that he was related to John DILLON MP for East Mayo for over thirty years.

Hi George,
I looked at this family line some time ago, but could not make the connection and that still stands I am affraid. You see this Charles died in 1784, my great grandfather, his son, was born in 1861, so just not possible.
My family are supposedly from the Dublin,Wicklow or Wexford areas, although I have yet to confirm this. There has never been any mention of Limerick. I have printed of the details of the Smyth/Prendergast family tree for future reference, you never know in this game!!
Best wishes
John
