Hi All,
Can anyone find a Matthew Newby in the 41 and 51 census. He was born in 1827 in Easington and married a Jane (surname unknown as I cant find the marriage). In 1861 he was in Sunderland, where my g g grandfather was born) and then in 1881 he was in Low Row and same for 1891. I hazard a guess that at the time of the 1841 census he was in Easington, but not sure if Sunderland or Easington for the 1851.
Many Thanks,
Colleen

I'm sorry but at present I don't have access to the 1841 census, in fact most people with access to the 1851 - 1901 censuses are willing to help but its often better to post a separate request for the 1841, since probably only local people will have that.
