Dear Carole,
I have already done that, thats how I know when the marriage was. What I am now doing is asking for a lookup from someone with Exeter Marriages information, who can tell me the details of the marriage.
I know I can buy certificates but as I am on a budget I was hoping to get the information needed from SKS on here.
I am a seasoned family tree reseacher who was hoping for a bit of help

You must understand that Exeter had 26 parishes and a great many non-conformist chapels - and of course they may not have had a church wedding at all!

Dear Len,
I do indeed understand the amount of parishes.
What I was hoping was that someone might have Exeter parish registers on cd maybe and could look it up.
I know DFHS has transcribed lots of churches records and hoped that they had done Exeter or if people had transcriptions of a single church they would check that and post it wasnt there, thus cutting down the amount one by one.

This marriage was 1863?
Those Devon FHS bookletss you mention are transcriptions of marriages prior to 1837 ONLY. Anything referring to BMD after 1837 is covered by the GRO index.
If you have the GRO index reference you really dont have much choice except to purchase the certificate from the GRO office. Cost 7 GBP
Otherwise I would have helped as I have a few Exeter parish marriage booklets but they are all before 1837.

Dear Burrow Digger,
Thank you very much for your reply.
I guess I shall have to give up on this line until finances change.
Best Wishes
