According to my Phillimores Atlas and Index of Parish registers (a bit old now) Leiston parish registers are not on the IGI - but then the IGI is a very incomplete index so not all parishes have coverage or coverage for the complete period up to at least 1837.
Nothing on the BVRI either.
The National Burial Index in comparison has coverage between 1750-1900.

I wouldn't hold your breath on it being indexed and placed on the IGI.

The National Burial Index is on a set of CDs or on this website

St Margaret's parish records at Leiston have only recently become available.

There are still many Anglican parishes in Suffolk which are not filmed and are not available because the incumbent refused permission for filming.

I am not sure whether there has been a change of heart or a change of Vicar/Rector at St Margaret's  Huh

Perhaps someone visiting the SRO (branches in Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Lowestoft) would be willing to carry out a look up for you ?

Best wishes, SM ...

Hello again,

Why not post the names and details of who it is you are looking for then whoever is next going along to the Suffolk Record Office may be able to look for you ?
