seeking descendants of Eleanor (Nelly)

I have come across a letter dated Dec 1952 sent to my mother-in-law;
the writing is very blurred, but the address appears to be; 32 Harris ave W. Toronto.
the writer was Eleanor Luprecini ? (Lupiecini) known as Nellie, who was born in Merthyr Tydvil. Wales.
Nellie's maiden name was Hughes, and she was the sister of my Mother-in-laws mother, Sarah Hughes, who was married to Albert Slater.
We have not heard of Nellie since and were wondering if there are any descendants?I believe she had two daughters, but know nothing else about them.
I would be grateful for any information.

The Toronto Public Library has old Toronto city directories. The old directories were usually divided into two sections: listings by address and listings by name.

I would suggest you request a look-up of Toronto city directories, searching first by address, in that timeframe. Other family members might be listed at the same address or next door, for example, and that would give you more leads, plus the correct spelling of her surname.

You could:
- post a look-up request here
- contact the library: http://www.torontopubliclibrary.ca/ask_fee_index.jsp
- see if there is a Toronto person listed on the Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness website:
http://www.raogk.org/listing.htm

I would also suggest adding the surname to your topic title.
