Help needed please, don't know where to begin...

I am trying to find any information relating to my mothers first cousin, all she has is a report from a newspaper clipping dated 1959. (Folkestone Herald dated September 1959, Folkestone, Kent UK)

The information is as follows -

RICK HART (born Richard Hart c 1919 in Folkestone). Joined 10th Hussars before joining the Indian and then Canadian Army.  Joined Lord Strathconas Horse Regt (Royal Canadians). Served 18 years in the army. Studied politics at Saskatchewan University before becoming an announcer on CFQC TV Saskatchewan and CBC Times.

My mother believes Richard married and went on to have a family in Canada. I haven't a clue where to start looking for information, if anyone could point me in the right direction I would be so grateful.

Thank you so much for the link, I have printed that off for my mother, she would really love to know what happened to her cousin and any living family he may have.  I haven't carried out any Canadian research so any assistance is really appreciated.

You could try contacting the CBC in Sask. and they may have more information for you.

Looks like CFQC TV is owned now by CTV which is another big TV Station in Canada.
