A Marriage Look Up Please - NORRIS

Please could anyone help. I am looking for the marriage of Thomas Norris born 1773-1881 in Watford to someone called Ann who was born in 1777-1781 in Henley,Oxfordshire. They had 2 children named Sarah and David. I have looked but just cant find anything. I thought they would have been married in Watford as that is where the children were born. Any Suggestions? Thank you Mark

Hello Mark,
I've just found your post.
I too, am looking for Norris family in Oxfordshire. Henley (Thomas James), Islip(Henry, Andrew) and Headington. A line went over to Hemel Hempstead (William). Others went to London.
For some reason Luton appears later down the line  Huh

If any thing rings a bell, please let me know.

Hi, My norris's were mainly in herts, but i had a Thomas that married an Ann Buck from Henly. Thanks Mark

Hi Mark

The Allen Index which records all Herts marriages to 1837 is now online, but there is no sign of this marriage I'm afraid.  This rather suggests that the couple did not marry in the county.

                                                           to Inkpen   April 12 1776.

The Removal index (microfiche not online) also records:

Thomas NORRIS from Watford to Inkpen (Berks)
Notes: wife Sarah, children Hannah (11) Millicent (9) Catherine (7) Thomas (5) John (2) Ann (6months)

More biographical details may be present on the removal order itself which can be obtained from HALS via the Hertfordshire Names Online site. Though as your Thomas was married Ann, it may not be relevant. Thanks to RichardK who first spotted and alerted everyone to the site.

Just might of given my brickwall of Henry Norris's father
( Henry who married Jane Godfrey 1755)

Hmmmm Henry too Undecided  married to Hannah Hazeley Northchurch 1728...
Now I wonder if that him???
