Confirm a date and find out Ann's maiden name.

Hi Pughy

I cannot find a marriage between a Thomas PAGE and an Ann on the Allen Index which records all Herts marriage to 1837 and is now online.  This rather suggests that the marriage did not take place in Herts.

Hi Pughy,

The Herts IGI Index records the marriage of Thomas PAGE/Ann at Welwyn on 17Jan1788  Batch CO73071  Serial/Sheet 3557.      No results are forthcoming  when this info is fed to familysearch.  The mystery deepens.

Please disregard my previous posting.   The event of 17Jan1788  was the christening of Thomas PAGE the son of Thomas and Ann at Welwyn.
