Looking for any info. on the HILL family ie- Father Leonard - Children - Bertha, Mrashall, Ernest, Jessica, Lottie, Millie and other siblings. All born Coaley area and travelled the fairgrounds through the West country, with amusement and catering stalls. Bertha was to become the mother of Sir Billy BUTLIN, who also travelled with his mother and uncles in his early days. Also the Watts family married into the Hills and one Jack Edmund WATTS was an amusement caterer travelling the fairgrounds. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

When I got back this far, I found Bertha's father was Edmund, not Leonard, but I'm sure it's her family...
1871 census: RG10/2593/31/13 - Hawshill, Coaley
Edmund Hill Head 27 Baker & Confectioner Coaley Annie Hill Wife 27 Coaley Clifton Hill Son 5 Scholar Coaley Marshall Hill Son 4 Scholar Coaley Milicent Hill Dau 3 Coaley Jessica Hill Dau 1 Coaley Ann Pearce Servant 18 Kingscote
OK! Leonard was the grandfather...!
1861 census RG9/1752/37/3 - [...], Coaley
Leonard Hill Head Wid 40 Confectioner Cam, Gloucs Edmund Hill Son 17 Confectioner Coaley Hannah Hill Dau 12 Domestic Servant Cambridge, Gloucs Mary Jane Hill Dau 9 Scholar Cambridge, Gloucs Charles Hill Son 7 Scholar Cambridge, Gloucs Daniel Hill Son 5 Scholar Coaley Kate Hill Dau 4 Scholar Coaley Emma Hill Dau 2 Coaley
I haven't found them yet in 1851.
