GILES: Possibly farming in early C20th
« on: Saturday 09 October 04 10:50 UTC (UK) »

Dear All,

I would love to hear from anyone with a Suffolk GILES in their family tree.

My great-aunt Helena, or Nellie, was first married to a Mr. Gray.  After he died, she married Reginald GILES in 1919 in Yorkshire.  Family tradition has it that they traipsed off to Suffolk to become farmers.

They had (at least) 2 daughters, Sylvia and either Margaret or Celie(!), who were probably Reginald's from an earlier marriage.

Many thanks

Tim
