You could try the old maps web-site to see if you can loacte where he lived, compared with the census for the village http://www.old-maps.co.uk/
If he lived and worked in Hingham then I would guess he was just making grease on a fairly small scale - how many others in the village were grease makers?
If he owned a factory and had made money - he may be living in Hingham, but have some work premises elsewhere - e.g. Dereham, Windum, Norwich?
I couldn't find mention in any directories of a grease maker in Hingham
