I have Thomas Lovekin marrying Sarah Thornhill at Shifnal on 30th Dec 1811. an anyone trace the record to tell me who was the father of Thomas Lovekin on the marriage register.

I don't have access, but it's highly unlikely that you'll get that information from the marriage register. Fathers' names weren't recorded until 1837.

Thank you! I do a lot of research in Dorset and there is an online Parish council site that is wonderful and transcribes registers from 1700 onwards - does anything like that exist for Shifnal - and is it classed as Staffs or Shrops?HuhHuh I always thought of it as Shrops but I find ref to it as Staffs sometimes. Any ideas?
