Am Looking for descendents of Alexander & Elizabeth Oliver (nee Douglas).
1861 in Mowhaugh, Morebattle, with daughter Margaret (1843) and son John (1847).
In 1871 Kirk Yetholm as Merchant with G/Daughter Margaret (1869).
1881 Elisabeth now widow & grocer with G/Daughter Margaret.

Any information on Margaret (1843), John (1847) and Margaret (1869) please.

Hi there,

Have you managed to find out the parents of Margaret b. 1869?  Can we assume that the father is John?  The birth cert should be available online at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

Hello Clare,

Magaret Scott Oliver was born 1/6/1868 at Kirk Yetholm, her mother Margaret was unmarried and a Domestic Servant, her father Alexander was informant.

In 61 Margaret was with parents at Morebattle and in 91 was housekeeper to a Henry Graham, still unmarried and at Maxton.

Margaret (1868) haven't found after 81, her grandmother died in 84.
