Little Paxton Church-Help with MI's please
« on: Sunday 23 April 06 15:07 BST (UK) »

It's a long shot, but I'm hoping that someone might have a transcription of the MI's for Little Paxton church,or better still, access to the church itself.

I'm researching the REYNOLDS family of Paxton Hall, and I understand that a wall in the chancel of Little Paxton church is dedicated to the family. It would really help my research if I could discover the details on those memorials.

Any help would be great,

Many thanks,

Mick Smiley

Hi Annie,

Fancy meeting you here! Wink

Thanks for the links, although I have already seen them, the roll of honour for Eaton Socon does have some interesting information about the Reynolds family, but I'm struggling to make it fit with what I know of the family history, which is why the MI's from Little Paxton church would be so helpfull.

It's all a bit confusing because although the family owned the manors of Little Paxton, Eaton Socon and Hail Weston, it would seem that most of the family were buried in Hail Weston but the family memorial is in Little Paxton!

I've got everything crossed in the hope that someone might have access to the MI's.I have seen on the Huntingdonshire FHS site that there is a Fiche available to members of the MI's for Little Paxton,so I'm hoping that someone might have them.

All the best,

Mick Wink

Mick, the fiches are available for all to purchase, not just for members of Hunts FHS, should your post draw a blank!

Hi Mick,
Have just seen your message and have a MI of Little Paxton (St James), there are a number of Reynolds on it, several in the church.

If you haven't already got the fiche, what information would you like?
