Help with uploading photos to rootschat webspace

Hello,
I was wondering whether someone could help me with being able to upload images to my rootschat webspace. 
After working out how to change the pixels numbers and uploading a photo onto my profile, I thought I had the problem tackled.  However,  when I try to upload the images saved into webpage form from my PAF 5 programme, I keep getting a message that says bad file ext.  What am I doing wrong.  Everyother file uploads fine.

What format are the Photos in (ie the suffix of each file) ... they need to be jpg or gif files for web use (or png which is another newer format)

Hello,

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.  I had been saving the images as a bitmap image, once I changed to jpeg the images uploaded.  Thanks heaps.

And DO NOT leave any spaces in the title - you can use " _" or "-" symbols if you wish but no spaces!!

Although Windows quite happily accepts spaces in names of files many web servers (including Rootschats) use a system which does not.
Another point to remember with regard to naming the files is that while to a windows system
  • picture1.jpg
  • Picture1.jpg
  • PICTURE1.jpg
  • picture1.JPG
  • Picture1.JPG
  • PICTURE1.JPG

would all appear to be the same file to most web systems these are all different files and so when naming your photographs a general rule of thumb adopted is to use all lower case.
