1841 look up please...Harriet Marchant

Hi

I am wishing to confirm that Harriet Marchant born c1822 Leigh/Tonbridge was married to Stephen Hitchcock born c1822 Leigh. The record I have found stated that they were married in Islington but I am puzzled as to why they would have been married there.

In order to confirm I have the correct info I need to ascertain where Harriet Marchant was living in 1841. It would either have been Leigh or Islington I am hoping.

Please could someone look up the info for me.

Marriage 1844 Q2  Islington vol 3  p 177

Neither Harriet nor Stephen is found in Leigh in 1841.

Hi Lesley,

There was a Harriet Marchant Christened 26 October 1823 in Chiddingstone.
Parents were John Marchant and Jane.

Chiddingstone is not very far away from Leigh.

If you discover that this is your Harriet then I will post her siblings if you want them.

Thank you for the info. I do not know the name of Harriet's parents and although I have c1822 I think she was probably born in 1821 or early 1822 which means she would probably have been christened long before Oct 1823......but you never know. If I find your info is correct I will let you know.
