Ordering a Dorking marriage certificate - help please!

I want to order a certificate for a marriage which occurred in Dorking in 1901.  I've only ever used the GRO online for ordering any certificates before, but because there is quite a delay at the moment, I thought I would order the cert from the local register office. 

BUT, I'm not sure which office to contact in Surrey - the Guildford or the Leatherhead one?  Huh

As Dorking is now split between the two it's difficult to say. I have always found that they will will pass the request on to the appropriate one.

You could always phone and ask if you know the village.

Thanks for your reply, Tricia.  No, I don't know which village it was, only that the reg district was Dorking.
