can someone help me find info on  the following please,
BENJAMIN GEORGE ALLEN
b: 1865-1866 shipton worcester
m: ELIZABETH MITCHELL

on 1881 benjamins mother is down as just hannah allen
widowed

can anyone help me find who benjamins father is
please , and any info on his mother hannah

Welcome Debra. Let us see how we can help you. You have some great starting data. All you need to do is to buy the certificates that will take you back to your ancestors. Births Marriages and Deaths are all registered from 1837 on at http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/ Read the online application forms. Most certificates will cost 7 Pounds.
To order a certificate you need to have its correct reference number. That is the quarter of the year in which the event occurred i.e. October will be in the December quarter - you need the folio number and the page number. How do you find those?
try first freeBMD - free search but not complete : http://www.freebmd.org.uk/  This is not a hard site to use. Failing there you will have to pay a little on the inclusive site http://www.1837online.com

In your case you can look at Benjamin's marriage certificate to Elizabeth and also his birth certificate. Those will give you a lot of information about him and his mother and, hopefully, his father. If he was illegitimate then you may find no father's details - that happens.
If you get stuck come back to us and someone much better than I will undoubtedly pitch in.
One further piece of advice - be 100% accurate with spellings when searching. It is Chelsea not Chealsea and it is Surrey not Surry [although the very old spelling was as Surry].
