I was hoping someone may be able to tell me something about Levin's Bridge Drogheda. My grandfather was born there in 1865.

Any information would be gratefully received. If possible some directions on how to get there from Drogheda.

Many thanks
Seymor

Hi there.... just to let you know that Drogheda is in County Louth (on the border of Meath though)....

I haven't been able to find out anything about Levin's Bridge yet ... but I'll keep trying ... best of luck.  Karen

Joe - could you tell me where Levins pub was please? - is it actually in Laytown? I know there are two pubs today in Laytown named the Cottage Inn (the pub is the nearest to the footbridge - beside Alverno House) and the Coast Tavern - both are near a footbridge over the Nanny... grateful if you could advise.  Thank you, Karen.

Thanks for that Joe - much appreciated. So Levins pub must now be the Coast Tavern (this pub is on the beach side)..I must have a look at the front of it next time I pass ... I just wondered if the footbridge might be Seymor's 'levins bridge' -what do you think?... its a longshot I know but you never know! Kind regards, Karen

ps: I'm assuming you are somewhere in Oz/NZ if you've just got up? We had a funny day of weather here today (I'm in Meath)... started off torrential rain, but it was quite warm...with showers .... lovely!
