In 1881 there was a William B. Broadwith and family living at Longnewton, Gamekeeper.
Helen 48 wife (nee Wait), Isabella 1861, James 1852, Mary Ann 1855, Nellie 1871, Samuel 1867 and a Mariquito Juano Petronila Broadwith 1865.
Any information at all especially the Maraquito.

How far back have you gone? There is a child aged 10 born in Ancrum so that tells you where they were in 1851.

Helen W  18  Westruther.
John S  3m. Ancrum.
Andrew Wait B.in Law. M 22 Asst. Gamekeeper Westruther.
Margaret Wait  sis in law U 11  scholar Minto.

Haven't got 1871 yet.  In 1891 William & Helen were in Ripon.

Have you tried on scotlandspeople for Mary Ann's birth registration?

1855 is the one year when you get lots of additional information on the whole family as it was at that time.
If only they had continued to give that amount of detail there would be lots of happy bunnies!

Yes I have been using scotlandspeople, but there is a limit money wise especially when there are a lot more ancestors to find details of all over the Border area.
