Bettws relations.
« on: Wednesday 12 April 06 08:11 UTC (UK) »

I have a list of Monumental inscriptions for Sardis chapel in Bettws so if anyone has relations buried there and need some info then i may be able to find them for you.
Also i have marriages(1722-1836), Baptisms(1721-1926) and burials(1723-1950) for St Davids church in Bettws so if you need me to see if any of your relations are listed then just let me know.
Please post your request under "lookup requests" and please state in your heading if it is a burial, Baptism or Marriage you are searching for.
Happy searching to all

Hi Badgirl

Bit of a long shot but here goes...

Know very little about this family until I get to the parish info.

I have the marriage cert for Ann Llewellyn in the parish church of Llangwynd on 17th Feb 1838 she was aged 21 her fathers name is Isaac Llewellyn, Lab.  On census she is born Bettws

If you could give me any info on baptism or fathers burial Any BMD, it would be great.  would like to try find mother.  Cannot locate on 1841 so think he may have died before.

Many thanks

Hi Cas,
I have checked Sardis chapel and nothing at all for any of the names you have given. As for St Davids church nothing coming up either but thats not to say they are not there as my list is not complete yet. I have found other Llewellyns but nothing for the names you have given. Sorry!!!

No prob, worth a go.

Do you know the name of the church which would be 'The Parish Church in Llangywyd' around 1838?

It would be St Cynwyd Church. I am looking for somewhere that does those too!!! Thats the main ones i need. I came accross these Bettws ones by chance as a cousin had them and i am getting her to send me more. She has Llangeinor ones too that she will get to me in a few days so if they look like they will be of some use i will put a post for those too.
